  13. As a matter of information, UnixTeX has offered Makefiles for the whole
  14. of a standard set of plain fonts, for the LaTeX209 fonts and for the
  15. SliTeX variants for about 6 years.  One special feature I would
  16. claim for that Makefile is that
  17.  
  18. make magsteps "DPI=nnn"
  19.  
  20. resets all the magsteps for any local resolution
  21.  
  22. Another (now of less importance) is that the slitex fonts are
  23. generated on the fly from the Computer modern originals, to avoid
  24. the creation of dialect copies of the originals.
