Subject: Re: Shell scripts generating the basic fonts
As a matter of information, UnixTeX has offered Makefiles for the whole
of a standard set of plain fonts, for the LaTeX209 fonts and for the
SliTeX variants for about 6 years. One special feature I would
claim for that Makefile is that
make magsteps "DPI=nnn"
resets all the magsteps for any local resolution
Another (now of less importance) is that the slitex fonts are
generated on the fly from the Computer modern originals, to avoid
the creation of dialect copies of the originals.
